Kachamak

Ingredients:

  • 400 cornmeal
  • 1 1/4 l water
  • 125 g butter
  • 400 g feta cheese
  • Paprika
  • Chili Powder
  • Salt

 

Steps:

  1. In one liter of boiling water put a pinch of salt and pour hominy (cornmeal).
  2. Stir constantly for several minutes so that the cornmeal can swell and absorb the water.
  3. Add some paprika and a little oil over itand fry it for a very short time, but do not burn it.
  4. Add the rest of the water, salt, butter and mix them all together for another 5 minutes.
  5. Put the Kachamak on a plate, add some feta cheese over it and serve immediately.
