Tave Karkaleca

Tave Karkaleca - Albanian cuisine

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of fresh shrimp ( shelled )
  • 400 ml panna ( cream milk )
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and black pepper

 

Steps:

  1. Peel the fresh shrimps and remove the black thread.
  2. Heat in a hot oven at 200°C using a ground bowl.
  3. In a teflon pan at a medium heat, place the butter and the crushed garlic and let them melt a few seconds, then add the shelled shrimp and cook until the wine has begun to evaporate.
  4. Place the shrimps aside.
  5. Put the flour in the same pan and once it changes its colour a bit, add panna (cream milk).
  6. Add the shrimps again that you’ve put aside, then add salt and put all of it in the ground bowl, then bake it for 10-15 minutes.
  7. It’s ready when you get a reddish look at the surface of the composition just like in the photo.
  8. Serve with toast and white wine.
