Jim Belushi is an american-albanian actor, comedian and musician, younger brother of John Belushi and the father of Robert Belushi. He is best known for his role as James “Jim” Orenthal in the sitcom “According to Jim”. He is the son of Adam Anastos Belushi and Agnes Demetri Samaras Belushi. Jim graduated the Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Speech and Theater Arts.

Jim Belushi has been married 3 times and has 3 children, 1st time with Sandra Davenport in 1980 with whom he had Robert Belushi, 2nd time with Marjorie Bransfield from 1990 to 1992 and since 1998 he is married to Jennifer Sloan with whom he has 2 children: Jamison Bess and Jared James. After suffering from gout, Jim became a spokesman for Savient Pharmaceuticals. He also supported the re-election of Barack Obama as the US president in 2012 explaining: “When you talk to the President in private, he’s a cool guy, that knows what he’s doing. Besides, I’m from Chicago too.”

Belushi is also interested in his Albanian ancestry. In November 2008 he visited Tirana, Albania and received the order “Honour of the Nation” from president Bamir Topi. On October 2009 Jim received Albanian citizenship.
